balconia to Merge with mfield, Change Company Name and Relocate Head Office in March.

balconia (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Taro Akiyama; hereinafter "balconia") will merge with two group companies, mfield Corporation (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahiro Mouri; hereinafter "mfield") and Aifield Corporation (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahiro Mouri; hereinafter "AIF"), to strengthen its structure in order to meet advanced, cross-field customer demands in AI and DX, which have increased rapidly during the COVID 19 pandemic. In addition, the merged company name will change to AMBL Corporation (AMBL) and the headquarters will relocate in March.

■Purpose of the Merger

At the same time that customers' demand for DX is increasing due to the COVID 19 pandemic, projects requiring more advanced, cross-cutting knowledge and technical capabilities are increasing. After the merger of balconia and AIF with mfield as the continuing company, mfield will change its name to AMBL Corporation.
The new company name, AMBL, is named after the initials of AIF, mfield, and balconia.
This reflects our desire to continue to leverage the trust and brand power that has been built up by each of the group companies after the merger.

The word "ambl" means "step" in Latin. We chose this meaning with the sense of "taking a new step forward" while cherishing the path we have taken with our customers and employees.

Due to the integration of the three companies through an absorption-type merger, AMBL Corporation will take over all current and previous contracts from each company.
AMBL Corporation will adopt a company system under the name of the former companies in order to maximize the brand assets that have been developed by each prior to the merger.
